Beaufort Wind Force Scale, The Beaufort scale is an empirical measure for
describing wind intensity based mainly on observed sea conditions. Its full

Climate/humidity table
The table shows the "absolute humidity" in g/m3 and the "dew point temperature"
of the air in°C (lower line) for certain air temperatures as a function of
"relative humidity |

Fujita scale
(tornados, U.S.) The new Enhanced F Scale estimates the strongest 3-second
wind gust based on the degree of damage to one or more of 28 classes of trees or
structures |
Fujita scale of
tornado intensity the Fujita Scale is used to rate the intensity of a
tornado by examining the damage caused by the tornado after it has passed over a
man-made structure |

Wind Chill The chilling effect of the wind can be represented by the lower
temperature that would be required to produce the same chilling sensation for a
person walking in calm conditions. This is known as the wind chill equivalent
temperature and is an important indicator in assessing the comfort of personnel
spending periods outdoors. It is not an indication that an unheated inanimate
object would cool below the ambient air temperature |
Wind chill
chart (U.S.) |
Wind Chill Chart Wind chill temperature is defined as that temperature in
calm air which provides the same chilling effect on a person as that for a
particular combination of temperature and wind |
