data of the single funnel, pdf file |
EDO memory Extended Data-Out (EDO) is a DRAM chip technology which improves memory
performance 10 to 15% over equivalent Fast Page Mode devices |
EPROMS
memory chip is an electronic part which is used by a computer, any type of
computer, to store a program or data. The difference between a program and data is that a program is a sequence of instructions which tell the computer what to
do. Data is information which the computer references as it runs it's program. In the memory chip the program and data information appear to be identical as
they are both stored as a series of 1's and 0's |
Intel® Platform Memory
The objective of the Intel validation program for DDR, DDR2, and DDR3 is to
verify SDRAM compliance to Intel specifications for and performance of supported
DDR memory modules in Intel reference systems. The results of validation
procedures provide a guideline for memory compatibility with Intel chipsets |
Memory comparison
SIMM, DIMM, DDR RAM, EDO RAM, SD RAM, C-RIMM (Continuity Module), RDRAM memory modules are required to be added in pairs, or the use of a
CRIMM Continuity Module. If you have a motherboard that needs its RIMM Sockets to be filled, but don't need a lot of memory yet, fill it with a CRIMM! |

OEM memory OEM means Original Equipment
Manufacturers. Almost all PC component and software venders make two versions of the same products based on a difference in the distribution channels. One is the
retail boxed products sold mainly through retailers. The second one is the OEM products which are sold mainly to system builders, such as Compaq and Dell.
These so-called bulk-pack products do not have fancy packaging materials and are often produced in much higher volume, both of which result in much lower prices
that have not been available to the public. The OEM products are of the same quality and often carry the same manufacturer warranty as their retail
counterparts |
